Van Doren Waxter presents a cross generational program specializing in artists working from the post WW II era to the present. It brings together foundations and estates with a select roster of living artists.

The gallery represents the James Brooks Foundation, the Rosemarie Beck Foundation, the Estate of Richard Diebenkorn, the Tom Fairs Estate, the Louise Fishman Foundation, the Zoe Longfield Estate, the Arthur Monroe Estate, the Harvey Quaytman Trust, the Jackie Saccoccio Estate, the Estate of Alan Shields, the Hedda Sterne Foundation, and the Jack Tworkov Estate. Contemporary artists include Marsha Cottrell, Jeronimo Elespe, Farid Haddad, Volker Hüller, Gareth Nyandoro, Mariah Robertson, and Brian Rochefort. Additionally, the gallery handles secondary market work specializing in Etel Adnan, Milton Avery, John Chamberlain, Helen Frankenthaler, Hans Hofmann, Ellsworth Kelly, Lee Krasner, Roy Lichtenstein, John McLaughlin, Vera Molnar, Robert Motherwell, Georgia O'Keeffe, Dorothea Rockburne, Frank Stella, Wayne Thiebaud, Anne Truitt, and Cy Twombly among others. The combined program positions contemporary artists who are actively creating new work within the context of historical artists.
